With the support of sponsors and partners, Connected Canadians has helped to distribute over 1000 devices - with training - to older Canadians in need. We’re grateful to all of our supporters who make our work possible. We do not currently have an active device donation program, but if you would like to fund device donations for a community in need, contact us.

Alexa Smart Properties For Senior Living

As of November 2022, Connected Canadians is Amazon Canada’s first solutions provider for Alexa for senior living properties. With the launch of Alexa Smart Properties in Canada, senior living providers can now easily deploy Alexa experiences designed to keep residents connected, informed, and entertained—and improve care team productivity.

Administrators can offer access to thousands of Alexa skills, and tailor resident experiences by customizing community information like activity schedules and meal menus. Care team members can communicate more efficiently with residents using Alexa communication features, which enable them to make announcements, voice and video calls, or send direct audio messages to other Alexa-enabled devices throughout the property. Alexa can also help communities streamline activities like check-ins, field requests for maintenance, and administrative tasks—enabling staff to save time and increase productivity.
